LAX TO RESTRICT ACCESS

LAX TO RESTRICT ACCESS TO ONLY TICKETED PASSENGERS, THOSE MEETING OR ASSISTING THEM, AND AIRPORT PERSONNEL

(Los Angeles, CA) Due to limited flight and passenger activity, social distancing directives, terminal cleaning and sanitizing protocols, construction and a priority to keep all guests and employees at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) safe and healthy, LAX’s Central Terminal Area (CTA) will restrict access 24 hours a day 7 days a week to only:

  • Ticketed airline passengers and persons meeting, accompanying or assisting them (airline check-in counters and federal passenger security screening will be open depending upon flight schedules for each terminal); and
  • Airport and City personnel whose employment requires their presence.

In March, LAX implemented a nighttime closure policy (between midnight and 5 a.m.). The full-time closure to the general public is an expansion of that policy. Violators will be asked to leave. Those who refuse to comply are subject to arrest and misdemeanor prosecution.
